What a truly hidden gem! Beautiful garden and woodland even in the rain. Very friendly owners and a nice scone with a coffee to finish it off.

This is a chance, near unique, to share a gardening dream. You may know many gardens but probably nothing like here.

We visited today at the recommendation of a friend and we're so glad we did. It's a super afternoon out with lovely walks, thoughtful planting and easily accessible even to those of us who are a bit doddery. We were made very welcome by the hosts, who advised us what there was to see. Finished off with coffee and excellent home-made cake in the pavilion.
Weather could have been kinder but this is Britain after all and it didn't spoil our day.
It would have been nice to have a leaflet or a site map to guide us and as coffee snobs we'd have been very happy to pay more to avoid instant. Not a criticism and it didn't spoil things for us.
Will certainly visit again!

Fabulous garden, great house and amazing owners. My family and I had a great week at Cwm Weeg Gardens and gatehouse. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful gardens and so glad we journeyed out of our way to visit. The hosts were wonderful and we received a warm welcome. They were very informative and willing to spend time talking to us about the creation of the garden, Woodlands and stumpery. A wonderful few hours spent in beautiful surroundings and well worth a visit.

The garden makes use of the slope on one side and trees on the other to frame and enclose it, creating a wonderful setting in the hills. Statues, a grotto, a stumpery, a woodland walk, wildflower meadows, the use of perennials on mass. Plenty here to keep the keen gardener interested. Looked good even in the rain and German cake to match.

Superb combination of carefully tended formal lawns leading to exciting borders and beds, many with enormous Gunera/rhubarb foliage. All artistically interlaced with statues, art work, water features and structural forms making it a joy to wander around...even in the rain! And a great woodland trail undulating along the banks of the stream. Great place to visit.
